Yerba Mate

An herbal tea mix, native to and widely enjoyed throughout southern South America. This unique and popular tea stands proudly on its own in the family, being exceptionally rich with nutrients and sporting a savory grassy taste. Though entirely free of caffeine, it has been known to have a similar, but gentler effect in reinvigorating the body, just as well as the soul. In South American cultures, it is traditionally drank from a gourd through a silver straw called a bombilla, which is commonly passed between friends and family in a show of communal spirit.
